Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
Controller: VilliArt Media (deBlurr – Frame TV Art)
Address: Lehmbarg 39, 27721 Ritterhude, Germany
Contact: villiart.media@gmail.com
Website: https://deblurr.com
This policy aligns with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For transparency, we also reference comparable principles in the California Consumer Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) and Canada’s PIPEDA.
2. What Data We (Do Not) Collect
We intentionally minimise data collection. The site does not use Google Analytics, advertising trackers, social media pixels or third‑party profiling services.
- Account / Personal Data: Not collected. We do not run a server‑side account system.
- Access Code: A simple code (not personal data) is stored in
localStorage
to unlock the gallery on your device only. - Favorites / Selections: Stored locally in your browser’s session/local storage to enable downloads. They never leave your device.
- Technical Logs: We may review standard web server error logs (e.g. HTTP status codes) for reliability and abuse prevention. These logs are not combined with other data to profile visitors.
- Cookies: None for tracking. Only essential browser storage (localStorage / sessionStorage) is used for functionality.
3. Local Browser Storage & Essential Cookie
The application can store the following keys on your device:
deblurr_authorized
– flag ("1") that access code was successfully entered.deblurr_selection_paths
– JSON array of currently selected artwork paths.deblurr_category_path
– JSON array representing your last navigated category drill‑down.
Essential Cookie: we may set a small, strictly necessary cookie to keep your access code recognized across pages:
deblurr_authorized
(cookie) – purpose: remember that you unlocked the gallery; duration: up to 7 days; scope:path=/
;SameSite=Lax
; no third‑party access.- No analytics or advertising cookies are used.
- You can delete this cookie at any time in your browser settings.
Delete these at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings or using your browser’s developer tools. Revoking the access code (Logout) removes the authorization flag and clears the cookie.
4. Legal Bases (GDPR)
- Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): Operating a low‑friction art browsing and download experience.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): Implicit when you choose to store selections locally for convenience.
5. How We Use Information
- Enable gallery browsing and multi‑selection downloads.
- Persist your category drill‑down and selection state between page loads.
- Improve stability and security (via generic server error logs).
We do not: build behavioural profiles, sell data, exchange data with third parties, or combine logs with external datasets.
6. Data Retention
All functional data stays in your browser until you clear it. We keep only transient server error logs (normally rotated automatically). No personal identifiers are retained.
7. International Transfers
No personal data is transferred—your selections remain on your device. Static site hosting may reside in the EU or another region, but without stored personal data this does not create transfer risk.
8. Your Rights
Because we do not centrally store personal data, most rights (access, rectification, portability) can be exercised by clearing your browser storage. Still, you may contact us for any privacy inquiry.
- Erase / Delete: Clear site data in the browser.
- Withdraw Consent: Clear storage or use private browsing.
- Object / Restrict: Disable local storage in browser settings (site may lose functionality).
- Complaint: You can lodge complaints with your local Data Protection Authority.
9. Security
- HTTPS enforced (protects integrity and confidentiality in transit).
- No external script trackers reducing attack surface.
- Minimal server logic; most logic executes client‑side.
10. Children
The service is not directed at children under 16. We intentionally avoid collecting data that could identify minors.
11. Third‑Party Services
None for analytics, ads, or social tracking. A CDN may deliver common libraries (e.g. JSZip) – these are loaded without sending personal identifiers.
12. Downloads & ZIP Creation
When creating a ZIP on the client (JSZip) files never leave your device. If server ZIP fallback is used (larger selections) only the file paths you request are read from disk, packaged, and streamed back. No log of individual artwork choices is retained after delivery (aside from transient web server access logs).
13. Policy Changes
Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date and, where appropriate, an on‑site notice.
